Nazlı Ümit Boyner, who was born in Istanbul in 1963, completed her education in Economy at University of Rochester in 1985. Boyner started her career at Chemical Mitsui Bank in 1985; and after two years in banking, she worked as Financial Manager in various companies for six years. In 1996, she became the Vice President for Finance of the Boyner Group, following their decision to become a holding. In 2002, she was assigned to Board Membership, especially taking responsibility for Financing and Investment. In 2005, she became a Board Member and Head of Country Promotion Committee, and the Vice President in TUSIAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association). Also she served as a Charter Member and Vice President for four years in KAGİDER (Women Entrepreneurs Association of Turkey). She was the Head of Private Sector Volunteers Foundation for two years. In addition, Ümit Boyner is a Board of Trustees Member in TINA (Turkish Foundation for Underwater Archeology), TEGV (Educational Volunteers Foundation) and Tohum Autism Foundation; she has been an Advisory Board Member in Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, Middle East Section, since 2008.
