The Seminar on Gender and Violence was held at the Sabancı University Karaköy Communication Center on May 13-14, 2011 in collaboration with Sabancı University Gender and Women's Studies Forum, Sabancı University Civic Involvement Projects and students. The aim of the seminar was to enable academics, activists and students to think, examine and discuss together different types of violence. Ayşe Gül Altınay and Hülya Adak from Sabancı University were the speakers of the Seminar on Gender and Violence.
In addition, academics from Boğaziçi University, Doğuş University, Yeditepe University and Istanbul Bilgi University, activists from Mor Çatı, Lambda, End Sexual Violence Platform, Filmmor and KAMER, and journalists from Milliyet and Bianet contributed.
