Sabancı University Gender and Women's Studies Forum, in partnership with Feminist Approaches and bgst Publishing, hosted on April 20, 2013 Joan Wallach Scott, Princeton University faculty member feminist historian and author of the book “Feminist Tarihin Peşinde”. Scott visited Turkey for her book “Feminist Tarihin Peşinde”, prepared by the Journal of Feminist Approaches in Culture and Politics and published by bgst Publishing, and gave a speech titled "The Uses and Abuses of Gender" at Minerva Palas in Karaköy. Scott discussed the concept of gender in her speech. She questioned whether gender could still remain an area of feminist struggle in the 21st century.
