The 3rd National Congress of University Women's Research Centers and the 9th Inter-University Sexual Harassment and Assault Cooperation and Communication Group Workshop was held on April 22, 2016 in Istanbul. The workshop in Istanbul was hosted by Istanbul Technical University and Sabancı University with participants from many universities, who shared their experiences of sexual harassment at universities and what the relevant offices did about these experiences. They also shared their experiences of dating violence.
The 10th workshop was held in İzmir on November 14, 2016. In the first part of the workshop hosted by Dokuz Eylül University/ DEKAUM, after the gender policies at Dokuz Eylül University and the functioning of the CTS office were explained, a presentation was made on a number of clauses related to sexual harassment in national and international law. After the presentations, Yıldız Ecevit from METU facilitated the discussion “Is it possible to have a Common Language and a Common Document?” The presentation on dating violence in the afternoon session was followed by a discussion thereon, and the session titled “Arguments Against Resistance, and Empowerment” moderated by Gülriz Uygur from Ankara University focused on sharing experience through a number of cases in the universities.
