Boğaziçi University, and her master’s and PhD degrees at Duquesne University Philosophy Department (USA). She is currently professor of philosophy at Maltepe University Philosophy Department. She serves as the vice-president for academic affairs at Maltepe University. She is the director of the Center for Women and Family Studies and is the chair of UNESCO Chair for Gender Equality and Culture. She also serves as board member at the Philosophical Association of Turkey, Kuçuradi Philosophy and Human Rights Foundation and Gender Committee of the International Federation of Philosophical Societies (FISP).
